Under the stay at home order, Section 3.A.ii states that fishing is an approved recreational activity. I'm assuming that means surf fishing is allowed at the beach (in a group of 10 or less). Anybody know if that assumption is correct?

I had to drive over the bridge yesterday and I've never seen Eau Gallie CSWY so packed with people fishing off the seawalls. They were st least six feet apart but still strange to see so many out there.

We have fished Cocoa Beach several times and the police just wave when they drive by.

maybe too much new "sand"

Cocoa Beach is the opposite; got a big Blue, a Whiting that I thought was a small Red because it was so fat, three Gafftops and a mystery something that would have taken the rod holder down had my son not been quick on the draw. All in 30 minutes right before dark on cut mullet and two rods. I might double the rods tomorrow for more fat Whiting.

Slow last night and now we have a trough. So much for the perfect little waves we've been having. On the plus side, beach fishing should pick up.

Got a 25" snook on cut mullet, along with a baker's dozen sailcats and some croaker. I used three rods and there was never a second where something wasn't at least getting nibbled on; a real junk fish bonanza. Besides the snook of course, but that was pure luck and involved zero fishing skills.

That's my plan with the croaker, but sharks are a higher percentage right now than snook and my son's hand is hurt and I don't want to fight a shark. lol
