Surf Related because fluoride in our ocean water is no Bueno!
If folks want to drink fluorinated water this is a free country and they are welcome to do it. The rationalization of adding fluoride to water to prevent tooth decay could be awakened to adding statins or Viagra to our water supply to prevent high cholesterol and ED. It's a ridiculous argument and we should not be subsidizing this. The reality is 99.9% of water ends up in our G.I. tract or in our rivers and oceans and there is absolutely zero benefit to tooth decay in this regard. Read your tube of toothpaste and noticed where it mentions if you swallow more than needed to brush your teeth you should contact poison control immediately. Fluoride is also the poison that is used when houses or tented to kill insects and rodents. Do your own research, but if you feel that this practice needs to end as does the majority of industrialized nations in this country, be sure to contact the city commissioners the mayor and vice mayor and mediately as this meeting is going to be held tonight at 6:30 PM. https://www.floridatoday.com/story/opinion/2019/11/25/dont-remove-fluoride-melbourne-water/4249697002/ ------------------------- Brevard Surf Report |

A few voice memo typos, liken instead of awaken. And the majority of industrialized nations DO NOT fluoridate their water supply and there Is zero evidence of tooth decay increasing.
They need to get the Coke and Pepsi machines out of the schools if folks really care about getting rid of tooth decay OK pray for Surf, and I hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving !!! ------------------------- Brevard Surf Report |

Eh? Drinking water gets 0.7mg/L fluoride recommended. Seawater is naturally 1.4mg/L. Good job getting the word out on the meeting though. Probably not surf related unless you're planning to use fluoride to keep the crowds down. "Surf looks to be 4-6' and glassy today but BE CAREFUL of THE FLUORIDE!!!"

Probably not surf related unless you're planning to use fluoride to keep the crowds down. "Surf looks to be 4-6' and glassy today but BE CAREFUL of THE FLUORIDE!!!" As far as Orange county goes, it's less than 0.7 mg/L; as part of our compliance it gets monitored bi-weekly and averages about 0.1-0.2 mg/L. My dental hygienist peer pressures me to get 'fluoride treatments' at least once a year. She's really hot and I always cave.... ------------------------- Specializing in sarcasm and condescending rhetoric since 1971. Edited: 11/27/2019 at 04:45 AM by worksuxgetsponsered |

This has always struck me as weird? Why do they care enough about our teeth to go through this effort year after year? Not to mention that I filter my tap water before drinking it.
Is there a great fluoride lobby and consortium I'm unfamiliar with? ------------------------- I was right. |

Well, , , , , then again, , , , , there is/was the old "fluoride" conspiracy theory, , , , ,;
Many. many, years ago, and probably still to this day, there was a perhaps "new" industrial process that produced fluoride as a "waste" product but, being that fluoride is so very poisonous, it could not be easily disposed of. So, , , , , the "Rich Industrial Magnate" came up with the scheme to add the fluoride to the drinking water supply and, as such, he would not need to worry about paying to dispose of the fluoride and actually got to sell it, , , , ,!!??!!??!! >>>>. "If you dig into why water fluoridation began, you find a convoluted, suspicious mess. According to the conspiracy theory, the name of the company with the biggest profit to be made from water fluoridation was ALCOA. The ALCOA Company had an unlimited supply of toxic waste - a byproduct of aluminium, AKA fluoride. At their lab, an ALCOA-sponsored biochemist did a test on rats that showed cavities were reduced with the fluoridated water and concluded that: "The case should be regarded as proved." In this historic moment in 1939, so the story goes, the first public proposal that the US should fluoridate its water supplies wasn't made by a doctor or a dentist, but an industry scientist working for a company that was also threatened by fluoride damage claims. Another part of the theory is that, during the Second World War, industrial fluoride pollution increased because of the production and extensive use of ALCOA aluminium in aircraft manufacturing. It was after the Second World War that many governments began to put fluoride in our water supplies to protect people against cavities. Coincidence!?" <<<< ------------------------- Dora Hates You Edited: 11/27/2019 at 05:58 AM by dingpatch |

Satellite Beach city council voted 4-1 last week to send the City of Melbourne (who provides Satty's water) a memorandum expressing their request to stop the fluoridation.
One speaker (with a medical research background) pointed out that the only benefits of fluoridation arise from topical use (swishing in the mouth), and that it was not intended to be swallowed. She and another speaker pointed out the choice and informed-consent issue; i.e., you can always go to the dentist, buy toothpastes and mouthwashes containing fluoride if you want it, but once it's in your ice cubes, you really no longer have a choice. |

Regular Joe, thanks for the 411!
Article in Florida Today, today, will let you know who needs to get voted out, as it is revealed who voted which way. Have heard Aquarina in S MB provides their own water supply using RO. To all you fluoride lovers, swallow that toothpaste, mouthwash treatment, and unfiltered water, your endocrinologist will thank you! ------------------------- Brevard Surf Report |

10 More Free Tips To Reduce Fluoride Exposure!
If you're using a fluoridated toothpaste, consider switching to a non-fluoridated alternative (which you can find at most health food stores). Young children, who don't have well developed swallowing-reflexes, often swallow a lot of toothpaste when brushing, which can cause disfiguring dental fluorosis and contribute greatly to total systemic intake. Also, even when the toothpaste is not swallowed, the fluoride may cross the gum membrane and enter the bloodstream. If your child is using infant formula, it is imperative to avoid making the formula with fluoridated tap water. Infant formula reconstituted with fluoridated water delivers a very high dose of fluoride to a young baby. For instance, infant formula produced with fluoridated water contains 100 to 200 times more fluoride (1,000 ppb) than is found naturally in breast milk (5-10 ppb). In fact, while breast-fed infants receive the LOWEST body burden (mg/kg/day) in the population, they receive the HIGHEST body burden if they receive fluoridated formula. Minimize consumption of processed beverages (e.g. soda and reconstituted juice). Soda and juice made from concentrate are often manufactured with fluoridated tap water, and hence, have fluoride levels similar to fluoridated water. If you regularly drink non-organic wine or grape juice consider buying only organic varieties. Many commercially-grown grapes in the US are sprayed with a fluoride pesticide called Cryolite. The residues of this pesticide can result in high levels of fluoride in wine or grape juice. In the case of wine, if you don't want to spend the extra money buying organic, consider purchasing a European brand instead of a Californian brand, as Europe uses much less cryolite on its vineyards. Be careful of drinking too much green or black tea. Tea almost always has elevated levels of fluoride and can contribute a substantial amount to one's total fluoride intake. Minimize consumption of mechanically-deboned chicken. Mechanically deboned chicken (e.g. "Chicken McNuggets") has been found to contain elevated levels of fluoride due to the incorporation of ground bone particles (which are high in fluoride) into the meat. If you live in a country which allows fluoridated salt to be sold, make sure that the salt you buy is unfluoridated. Consumption of fluoridated salt can greatly increase a person's fluoride exposure. Check to see if any prescription medicines you are taking contain fluorine. If so, ask your doctor if there are any appropriate alternatives - as some fluorine-containing pharmaceuticals (e.g. Cipro) can metabolize into fluoride ion within the body, thereby increasing the body's exposure to fluoride. If you are going to have surgery, ask your doctors if they can use a non-fluorinated anesthetic. Fluorinated anesthetics such as Enflurane, Isoflurane and Sevoflurane will produce high peak levels of fluoride in blood for up to 24 hours. Avoid the use of teflon-coated pans. Teflon-coated pans may increase the fluoride content of food. ------------------------- Dora Hates You Edited: 11/27/2019 at 04:18 PM by dingpatch |

I think they are putting something in the water that is killing the libido of these young guys because hardly any of them are having babies anymore. It is a part of the New World order Globalist criminals trying to stop U.S. middle class citizen population growth. It makes it easier for them the steal the wealth and power of the U.S. middle class.

It makes it easier for them the steal the wealth and power of the U.S. middle class. THE GLOBALISTS! Lol Union busting, "right to Work" states, the fight against a minimum wage, the ban of public service organization; these are the real issue. The theft of Middle Class power has been happening right under your nose since the Reagan years. You fear the ginned up boogeyman, then vote in the real culprit. Now back to the water: Is it even safe to drink tap water anymore? And is there any way to find the test results of said water? ------------------------- I was right. |

^Well, your public water system is licensed by the FL Dept of Environmental Protection and required to meet Safe Drinking Water Act rules including publication of an annual report on the water quality that includes any testing results including any that exceed limits. Here's the one for the Cocoa system: https://www.cocoafl.org/Docume...8-Water-Quality-Report There are more data that aren't in this report. I don't know if the actual test results are part of the public record but might be because it's required by Federal law. If so, a Freedom of Information Act request would probably get them. On the other hand, if you're on a well, you're on your own.

I had a months long run of a sour stomach. After trial and error, I cut out Cocoa beach tap water. I now longer have the sour stomach. Coincidence? Possibly, but I no longer drink unfiltered tap water. ------------------------- I was right. |

I stopped tapwater in 1988 after my 2nd kidney stone living at the time in north Sat Bch. I am actually paranoid to drink tap water. Bottled water for me for 30+ years for me, no stones, no problems. |
