Hey whatsup everyone! Ive been living in Jax for four years and about 8 out of 12 months here I can head to the poles and get fun surf. Ive learned I enjoy surfing consistently the most... We have it good here in Jax... The past two months Ive gone to Jupiter to surf about 8 times and wow... clear water, laid back crowd, warm water, so many different wave types around a small area. But... how often do you guys get good surf? I just coincidentally got a sweet job offer down there but I realized I want consistent surf and this past season treat d us well... , please respond.. I also love diving, car racing (pbir), spearing and some good fishing.

well...Tab Textor lives here, so you got that going for ya, which is nice.

The summers are brutal, I would stay in Jax, I did your opposite move, and I regret it. Unless you like to fish and dive, then you are good to go here.

Bahama block stops all Summertime swells. I've spent a lot of time in Palm beach. Very rarely is there a good small wave day and it is all dependent on big swells coming from the North. Swells don't last as long either. So, gotta be able to drop what you are doing and hit that 6 hour window. However, when it is breaking it is typically better +warmer water is plus-plus like you mention. Good luck.

What Dave said. But with that being said, I love it here.

Jupiter fo sure, classic waves in fall, winter, not that far to Ft Pierce. Jax reminds me or Coronado in San Siego, usually a mile long waist high brown close out, a 54 degree close out in Winter,,,

Jax is more consistent than WP. Like Dave says, even when WP is at its most consistent, it's still inconsistent. The plus in WP is warm water during the winter.

Tab...LOL, still a grom after all these years. yeah, your wave quality will go up in winter, your wave consistency will drop like a rock. However, the water is almost always warm. In Jax, I had to wear 3/4, booties, gloves and a hat one winter (visting from Daytona) in the late 80's.
