Might get some offshores tommorow due to circulation around Sally? Can't remember last time had a swell from a hurricane out in Atlantic while our local winds were driven by outer bands & circulation of another storm in the Gulf!? Oh wait NM it's 2020

Wind direction good for a couple of places this morning. One you can see on a cam, the other you can't.

Monday night, I just checked it at 2ndlight. 4-5 feet. Choppy and disorganized. Looks like easy paddle out. It was high'ish tide. Only two people out. Didn't look inviting. Then checked Sea Park and it looked worse. Surf is up right now, just no defined break. Maybe somewhere else that I looked.

10' storm surge. This will be bad.

Very fun evening session in C.B. with frequent overhead sets breaking left and right. Many nice walls that held up. A little bumpy but not too bad. Set of 3-4 were coming in groups with occasional lulls. Paddle out pretty difficult unless you got the lull.

I know. The ho pro sits waiting for offshores.

Surfed a bunch lately but come on!

Not looking good for wind and swell cooperation.

The NE 20 (shows up very clearly on Windy) looks like a big mess.

Teddy is producing a large area of high seas. The maximum seas
estimated by TAFB near the core of the hurricane are around 40
feet.

The wind forecasts for Sunday-Tuesday are looking awful, Sunday the least-worst with NWS as low as 10 mph. The largest swell, possibly longer than 10 sec. Looks like "choppy" isn't quite the word.
Wednesday and Thursday might be the days.
Interesting to watch Windy for its ECMWF vs Wavewatch 3 swell (and wave) for Sunday-Thursday. For wind, looks like very early Sunday might be a good idea. NWS has just posted a coastal flood watch for Indian River County south.
Palm Beach Co. looks good for Sunday morning.

But now, take a look at this NWS radar and notice "the center of circulation" just moved off to the North West of Lake Okeechobee! But, the NHC is showing the weather as being aproximately off the coast of The Cape?

That closed surface circulation gave folks down south offshores this morning. NHC has updated to its current position and movement and give it a 10% chance of developing further after it emerges over the gulf. Pretty interesting little spin up.

    And an instant before
Vero South Beach this morning. The waves were pretty crash & burn, but at least the "wrong" lens did well. It's extremely sharp and focuses well. This is unedited. A polarizer helps.
