A speedy recovery to you. That doesn't look fun at all.

From one who knows, , , , , ,

"Transplant patients are at a higher risk for developing skin cancer compared to the general population. Transplant patients tend to develop a skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma and Kaposi sarcoma. Many patients also develop a skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma and melanoma.

This higher risk is caused by immunosuppressive medications, which are essential to transplant patients to prevent graft rejection and optimize graft survival. Because these medications suppress the immune system that fights off infection and prevents the development of cancer, transplant recipients are at elevated risk for infection and certain cancers."

...and get those annual skin checks even if you don't have additional risk factors.

If you don't have a dermatologist, look up Dr. Vanessa Johnson at Health First.

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

I had a Melanoma in 2010 and, as such, I am part of a "priority walk-in" group at the VA Dermatology Clinic in Lake Nona. I currently am on a "every 6 months" schedule but, will soon go to a "every 3 or 4 month".

The "mark" above is 2 inches and, with that, I now have over 12 inches of skin cancer scars on me.
