My first concert. It was amazing, Lakeland Civic Center.

Great Band!
I'm right there with y'all. Purple were also my first show. June '73 with the Mk II line-up still intact. I remember being stunned with how keyboard whiz Jon Lord abused his organ; rocking it back and forth and still able to lay down incredible lines. Top memory is the song "Lazy". Crushed it!!! That night, they set the bar that everything else was to be compared to. In the almost 50 years since, few have topped it! ------------------------- Slide On |
