No big surprise.  TSA screening at airports has been theater to placate the masses since about 9/11/2001.

Is the TSA's hiring process same/similar to the FAA's new one?

"Affirmative Action", "Diversity" and "Inclusion" typically center around "The Lowest Common Denominator". And, as such, prime things like "expertise", "skill" and "knowledge" and such get thrown out the window.

The administration (a republican one) that created the TSA didn't have any real intentions of making it competent or effective.  They just wanted to make the fearful types feel better.     They hired anybody who could fog a mirror.

TSA, search old people with pacemakers and new knees, little kids, they're a joke.

Better to have one air marshall on each flight. Might save money too.

Who played the race card here?

WSGP?  I expect you to come forth and crush these cretins.

This is not about race; it's about hiring the cheapest stooges you can find.

Oh, the current batch of chumplicans weigh in on air safety practices.
Anybody remember when ronnie "what do I do now mommy" raygun fired air traffic controllers en masse.
For objecting to antique equipment and horrific work conditions? Airline disasters went up for years.
What sort of incompetent lackies has your mighty orange dufus appointed in charge of faa or TSA?
How bout them Boeing certifications huh?
I'll post about conditions with the border patrol for example. Fat macdonald sez he's hiring thousands more agents.
They can't even maintain current levels.
Low pay. Shitty, thankless hours.
Clueless condescending political appointed overseers.
Works every time..........

They're there. Transcons and international flights usually have at least 3.
