It was a pretty cool place to live. You could find fossilized shells up on the hills. Lots of pine forest and trails.. Clear wide open skies. Lots of characters, jumpin out of perfectly good airplanes.

The incidence of looting is being exaggerated in the media. The real violence is directed against protesters who remain in place after curfew, and they are being shot point blank with rubber slugs and CS gas.
There have been many injuries, some severe. It seems the cops delight in shooting people in the head at close range. They know under the circumstances they can get away with it. Same thought process as a looter.

The cops also target press and medics, and repeatedly have destroyed first aid stations and stolen water intended for hydration and treating gas exposure.

Also on display is a country that can't supply PPE to healthcare workers in a pandemic, but have unlimited money for the latest head to toe tactical gear and military vehicles. American priorities and values are on display. Property over people.
