Anybody seen what's gong on with the water clarity in Indian River at Pineda Causeway (PC) on the western side of Tropical Trail (TT)? I hadn't fished this area in a really long time. Noticed the western shoreline was a coffee stained, with pockets of some cleaner water. Paddled across to the other side and that entire shoreline was pretty clear (not great but way better than the TT side).

Once I got the kayak packed up, as I drove back over PC and looked north, the bloom was over there as well . What ever it is, it's spreading. And to make matters worse, the catfish bite was the worst I have ever seen, I couldn't get away from those f$&*#!

Was up fishing the north side of 528/barge canal a few weeks ago, not a trace of what I'm seeing down south. Curious to hear what other people are seeing at different areas of the river.

I was at the Banana River Islands just south of Buck Point last Friday and it wasn't too bad. My Cocoa Beach canal is going orange fast and I saw some fish floaters yesterday. Here comes summer.........

looked bad going over pineda causeway both banana and IRL side yesterday. Decent note, some fairly thick aquatic vegetation on the flats south of cocoa beach golf course, no clue what type but something for the trout and such to hide in, decent amount of mullet but not much barnacle/hard growth on any pylons or mangroves.

Was the dredge running? New spoil site, south side of Pineda, across from PAFB marina, right on the Lagoon.

Patchy Pyrodinium blooms in IRL from Pineda north. Very intense bioluminescence in Rockledge area where coffee colored plankton are piled up.
