What rye grass brand have you had the greatest success with?

What about fescue?

50 pound bag on amazon. Great stuff. Yeah for rain. My yard is mostly shade so it survived the two week drought, but now more rain!

Just FYI: Ace Hardware has 50# bags for #34.95. Stack Ace coupons for more. Is the price better on Amazon?

ditto on Ace. Late bloomer; mine's just starting to take off. Def need to water the sunny patches when things get hot and dry, but the shady parts do fine.

It's not too late. Rye will survive all the way thru late March. Once temps regularly get in the mid-80s it dies off. If you wanna green up the yard I'd recommend throwing rye down now. Especially if you can keep it watered. It doesn't need much water once it germinates. Sometimes morning dew is enough if in shade.
