Slater's in California is elite and limited. The new pool inland from Los Angeles, Palm Springs area, is a different technology and seems off to a good start. Waco has been attracting Californians. Wavegarden is the result of long development, model testing (their lab is in northern Spain), and there's now at least six of them as far apart as Australia, South Korea, Scotland, and England. The Atlantic seems to have staged a splashy opening, complete with invited surfers. The proposed Wavegarden for Jacksonville seems to have the best possible backing. The developers created much of eastern Jacksonville.
