Some fairly big swell coming in. Surfed Satbe, 4-6+ long lines. 20 mile buoy started pinging 5 feet 15 seconds from the NE this afternoon . semi-glass this evening.

That was an unexpected surprise, with the wind lite onshore. Paddled out after work, north indie, sand bars are shallow and well defined with a deep trough on the inside. Powerful swell, some good rides . The north angle helped make it less closed out than usual. Miss the long summer nites it got dark quick. Water was still plenty warm.

I took my daughter for a surf lesson expecting a 3' swell.
She sank in her seat when we saw overhead swells breaking all the way across Jupiter Inlet driving over the US1 bridge.

Big and bumpy this morning in northern palm beach county. Well overhead and mostly closed out. The wind this morning was sideshore so I expect due west this evening will make it much better.

South Florida seems to have two modes lately, fully on or off.
Making it tough for someone who just got the itch to learn.
She got the up and over and 80 grit sandpaper treatment last time.

Thursday in Satbe was wobbly with the stronger NW winds. Easy paddle out with long wait for sets. 4-6 feet. The strong offshore was knocking it back and in the afternoon at high tide it shut down. closer to dark it got better. Looks like swell is decaying.

wondering if we gonna get anything from Melissa.

Due west this afternoon. Breaking close to shore but overhead plus on sets. Fast and wedged. All lefts. Fantastic. Saw our "surfing weatherman" out there getting some color for the bright lights of channel 5.
