What does this mean exactly, if I want to surf this weekend I need to drive to Hatteras?

If there is a small long period swell, NSB is all the drive you will need.

Weak low pressure off Hatteras. Looks like NE wind fetch pointed at us.

I reckon with incoming tide after the morning low it could get pretty fun today in certain spots and hopefully the winds stay light

Looks pretty small/flat on the brevard cams. Looking up to Jax beaches, they got small surf. 1-2 feet. Hoping something fills in. the NE wind fetch was weak, but NE swell in late july is very rare.

Super fun at Ocean Ave. around 10am. Super glassy, about thigh high and a beautiful day. Overheard someone from Satellite saying it wasn't nearly as big up there, which kind of surprised me.

fyi, virtual buoys showing bigger surf next weekend. 6 days away, so take with grain of salt. But, showing some 'size'.

This NE ENE swell has staying power! More size and glassy breaking through the high tide making it a super fun Monday dp.

So I know we had at least four members of our beloved forum surfing North Jetty Ft. Pierce this Saturday. What a fun day. Maybe again this coming Saturday.

Sharks? The last time I surfed there I saw 10 sharks in the 10 minutes I braved.

Good seeing you Saturday JB. What the waves lacked in size, I made up for in wave count. Riding your Jim Phillips cigar convinced me to get log......
