Who remembers all of the old, rusted, car chassis in the surf from Patrick down to Satellite?

It's so weird how everyone knows that people have f-ed up the environment here locally but some are still climate change deniers.

Priorities need to be rearranged.

how about you gfy. i live in the neighborhood and know what is being pulled out of my neighbors yards. there are a couple of collaboration groups online with hundreds of pictures of the shit pulled out of the yards. look for yourself. i mean sure dude, no chemicals in our ground water either right? guess the epa coming out several times and environmental activist erin brockovich getting involved means nothing either? not to mention national coverage on the cancer cluster here. yeah, nothing to see here

I surfed in the bacterial soup two Sundays ago. Since then I've had a week long run of Diarrhea and I'm currently on heavy doses of steroids and antibiotics for a bleeding sinus infection.

But you know what? More cruise ships, more people and total refusal to update our infrastructure is most definitely the answer.

With my "compromised immune system" from last years Close To Death Chemo, I've been told "Do Not Touch" the water.

Even without any pollution issues you'd be at risk from naturally occurring vibrio. Through staph and such into the mix and it's no bueno.

I got a sinus and respiratory infection after surfing Ft. Pierce. I just attributed it to visiting my adorable, yet germ ridden niece that gave me Eskimo kisses with a snotty nose.

I had the shits with fever, chills, and body aches last Thursday. Lasted a day. Don't know if it was food or a virus. I had been a couple of weeks with no ocean time prior to that. I groveled for a few hours on Saturday and I've been fine this week. Meanwhile, Mrs. Scombrid has been doing her best to infest me with a respiratory plague that she caught at work that has been kicking her around since last Sunday. She hasn't been in the ocean in about three weeks.

neighbor told me that they planned on addressing the issue in sps with water quality. home tests from lowes showing 0 chlorine end of line with coliform present on multiple occasions. i personally havent had discolored water like many more north in the hood, but i have had earthy smelling water several times. some people saying showering in it has made them sick too, but that is probably coincidence imo. easy target for blame and probably just cold/flue/random bugs. sad to pay all this money for water and it not even be fit to give to my dogs. then there is issue with cyanobacteria running amok at lake washington, or so i hear

Patrick AFB is one of, if not the hottest spot in the nation for PFCs groundwater contamination, from heavy use of the fire fighting foam made by DuPont. I'm sure there's no shortage of petroleum/jet fuel spills, engine oil and other toxic waste dumping at the base too. Add to the mix unregulated septic tanks, leaking sewage pipes, and a population full of pharmaceuticals and who knows what else. I wouldn't touch water from a surficial well within a few miles of that area. The deep artesian wells should be isolated, assuming the casings intact all the way through the confining layers. Not sure how long those old well casings last, also possible that some artesian wells were installed with open shallow intervals.

I agree, Too much poop caused too much poop to flow, which was caused by too many Demogoons trying to move here from up north. Climate change has been changing since the planet began, remember Ice Age in 4th grade?, Climate is cyclical, watch the jet stream how it changes winds, which changes rain, which changes weather. Look at the big picture. Pollution is pollution just to cut you off at the pass,
