Hey, hey... I only have done 984 of them for Costa Rica. There's still work to do.

Not to mention that the photo reports are of the best sets from the best angle. I've watched the reporter take the pics, then post it was fun. Then again, I guess fun is a subjective term.

In general if you only listen to the surf forecasts you'll miss many good days and schedule days off work for surf that sucks. Listen to the buoy and local weather reports, and you still have to go to know.

In my day, we'd constantly check the weather and marine band radio, or we'd have to go look. Then there were surf reports to call at the shops. But they'd lie. Either saying it was flat ,to get waves for themselves, or "epic" to get you to come down to buy their lying crap when you see Lake Atlantic. BAH! You fuggin' kids now aday! HARRRRUMPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was always a 1000% guarantee that the Ron Jon's recorded phone report was going to overcall the weekend .... everytime!

I have missed more swells not checking it myself because a report that made sense is always too general. Especially here in sunny south Florida where I have surfed swells that lasted 60 minutes from start to finish, or west wind palm beach anomaly where it's not breaking anywhere up or down the coast but there is an inexplicable chest high swell perfectly peeling at one single spot.
