County considers restrictions
County commissioners on Tuesday began debating a series of temporary measures proposed by Chair Bryan Lober that could help cut down on the spread of the coronavirus. No action was taken, but commissioners plan to resume discussion of the coronavirus issue during their next special meeting, scheduled for noon Thursday. Among the proposals: Allowing only county residents to launch boats from county boat ramps. Closing hair and nail salons, as they cannot abide by the social distancing guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Barring hotel room rentals for out-of-county tourists, while allowing rentals to continue for local residents, as well as people who are in the county on business, such as government employees, space- and defense-industry workers, and medical personnel. Commissioners also plan to revisit the issue of weekend closings of county beaches during midday hours. ------------------------- Puerto Rico 11 - 24 - 2013 |

Yes Dkaye another reason to hate daylight savings time.
I have to say I don't want to be on lock down. Those topics don't seem to effect us too bad. Haven't had my nails done in quite some time. It's going to be up to DeSantis to rain on the parade. Edited: 04/01/2020 at 06:59 AM by Greensleeves |

Recreational activities during stay at home order---walking, biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, running and swimming. All the public pools are closed so they must mean the ocean, they surely can't be thinking that we'd be swimming in the river

I read the executive order also and looks like surfing can possibly be extrapolated as an "essential activity" .....we will see if the local authorities feel the same ??
