Closeouts? That's so central Florida. Boys and girls, these are times when I stop envying all your waves and I marvel at how south Florida can be so good.

Long period means more people can make it out - SUPs, logs, kayaks, canoes, those butt surfing things, Caballitos de Totora - and less waves per person.

Add Memorial Day weekend (coming out of lockdown) to the mix and it's going to be a free for all...and I plan on joining the masses.

If I can talk Mrs. wrksux into it, we'll be trekking south for the weekend JB and 3rd.

It's was world class this morning in Jupiter. 6' to 8' with light offshores. What a wave.

Funny, you guys don't get crap for waves, but when the stars align, it's freaking on. From Edna with her sunflower covered shower cap swimming in sparkling flatness to mid sized Uluwatu and all within 12 hours.

Glad you caught it JB.

Extreme north tilt meant we weren't closed out even on the long period but there was cape blockage happening.

LOL Cole I got a good chuckle out of that visual. The Golden Girls swimming club daily floaty work out will not be held today due to high surf

I am sunburnt, my shoulders are toast and the wind is on it. I will take a nap today. Maybe dust off the fish and show off some snappy lip shots for Edna.

I am happy you guys are scoring. I am stuck in Virginia Beach, where we had 3 days of 20mph windchop and a few hours of clean waist high drops with no shoulder on a peak shared with a dozen longboarders. Ah, summer! Get it while you can.

GREG! I'm in the exact same situation as you! Stuck up here in VA Beach on a work assignment and trying to make sense out of the 1st Street Jetty schizophrenic line up. So far, I've been telling my boys back home in Sat Bch the same thing... perfect a-frame take offs into nothingness, with clueless longboarders sitting inside of me while I take off on my 5'11", not even attempting to get out of the way... so frustrating Ha Ha! Luckily, I get to go back for a week next week. We are truly lucky to have central florida as our local breaks. Feel bad for these VA Bch surfers.

One last kick at the can. Not sure how much was residual kick back swell from Arthur and how much was SE windswell but the Inlet was super fun for a 4 hour window this afternoon.
