Surfed those three for a few days straight this past swell.. What the heck happenned? They've changed so much... RC's waves seem to have improved, holding solid lines even with severe rip currents 2ndlight was the most trash break I saw in the whole area... Tables had some fun dumpy shore break Surfed all three at different tides. Talked to someone in the lineup and they said a bunch of sand has washed up or has been dredged at 2nd and tables which is why they were such mush

2nd Light has been off the mark lately. Too much sand, then not enough. I'm not really even sure how that is possible??

Maybe it was bad already, but I noticed that 2nd Light and O'Club got worse after Hurricane Dorian

Yep, super fun. I surfed for two hours in some glassy, chest plus peaks.

yeah probably hands down the surfer Even in bad conditions I remember the spots going off... Oh well, probably just a bad combo of things while I was there.

I was struggling with a rental board in CR and complained to a really good surfer who said, "sometimes it's not the arrow, it's the Indian" . I laughed but changed boards later that day. He saw me get a set wave, laughed and said "nice arrow".

I used to be the guy who had to have "his board" when traveling but what an expensive pain in the ass. Rentals have opened my eyes to shapes I wouldn't have possibly considered.

Don't give them your Passport as security. Give them your credit card. Take a before picture AND bring your own leash. Some guy broke my board with his head and he took no ownership. The surf shop tried to hit me up for $650.00 I gave them $200 and the CC company successfully disputed the rest.

Also, this puts money into the locals pockets and not the Airlines.

Need more water time. Plenty of time left to make $$

^uhhh.. cute story and all but 2-3 weeks a year traveling if ur lucky and successful to crap shoot on potentially heavy surf on a rental experiment???? Been there , done that. NOT Worth it! Spend time finding shop , selecting , yada yada. If it works for u more props but most of us feel slighted on good surf on a shortie that's not the glass slipper. Now LB go for it- I thought we were talking about surfing ;-p

haha... this. Can't see spending the $ and vacation time, to risk being stuck with shitty boards on good waves.

"sometimes it's not the arrow, it's the Indian"

I can make it work, but that's counter productive when you are spending thousands to get dream waves.
