I feel like this is the wave they should make people watch to monitor their brain waves. There is almost no making it out but the level of talent there has figured out that wave, it's their wave and they love it. It seems like a death trap for anyone coming there as a curious surfer.

That's a damn good day at d'Wedge there mates! When the right even looks like a right, it's G0od!!! from my recollection~ And it's makeable!!(ie: per Wedge standards) on -very peaky- Great vid! "That place is for the young and pliable."

I think I pulled a muscle just watching a little bit of that vid!

If anyone truly ripped that place they are probably explaining the spinal herniations to their doctor. I don't think you could even get out of that break without permanent damage.

Mike Harris, a professional photographer who does (or did) Wedge water photography mostly for the fun of it, was badly injured lately. Instagram, Mike Harris Visuals.
This is one of the prettiest Wedge videos I've seen, some outstanding bodyboarding, contrasted with broken surfboards. And Brad Domke's there.

from ww link:

For those unclear as to what happened to me at Wedge this last swell....things were normal Wedge, crazy, unpredictable but fun. There's a lot of unexposed rocks about 30 feet from the jetty right now and the smaller waves we're imploding in about 3 feet of water right where the rocks are. I was shooting with a wide angle fisheye lens so I needed to get right in the pocket with the guys. It's all a little blurry, because after the wave hit me and threw me down violently my 30 pound camera housing hit my head and completely knocked me out cold under water, but then my whole body hit the rocks and my back hit a rock and fractured. I actually blacked out twice underwater. So, I have a major concussion, Super dizzy, whiplash, lots of neck pain, staples in head, tweaked jaw, fractured back, and lots of pain in legs and other places..... but alive. Lucky I didn't drowned!
I'm truly grateful for all the guys that helped me and pulled me out of the water and did an amazing job in helping me!!!!!! The first face I saw when I regained consciousness was @bisonbonesjones, I was so relieved to see a familiar face! Thank you bro for being right there! Big thanks to @tylerstanaland for doing exactly what you're supposed to do in securing my neck and pulling me up the beach the right way and holding my neck in place that whole stinking time, your a stud brotha!!!!!! Thank you @jaredbrownsurf for being there and helping with everything!!!! . @tburnham83 , bro, thank you for being that beautiful ugly smiling face talking me though everything and for being right there the whole time. Thank you tons to @weldon88 for all the foot work, phone calls to family and taking care of my gear. Thank you to all the other bro's @dawsontylers and others for hangin on the beach for me...... also to the @newportbeachlifeguards for what you guys do, and to the paramedics (even though you cut my nice 4.5mm hooded @voltewetsuits to shreds ??) The Wedge Community is an amazing group of guys that have each other's back when things get hectic, in and out of the water. God Bless you guys, and thank you to EVERYONE else for all the Love, support, prayers, messages and good vibes that have been sent!!!!!
