Are there any prone paddle groups training together in the area?

None around here I know of, you could possibly do the AM swim with the life guards at the beach with the Big Red Buoy on the outside, It's a long swim, out to the buoy , North , then back...with all the shark activity not sure about doing that , also they may not want you tagging along as a liability (the head life guard yaks to provide safety), they swim early around 8AM, one "swimmer" was nice enough to unhook my line from the reef when they passed by the last time I was out. I would like to do the swim with them someday...if you go PM me if they were cool about it.

Thanks for the info.
+1 on the sharkiness at the moment. Been surfing just before sunrise the last few mornings and the black-tips are everywhere. Nearly tripped over a little 4ft in the trough on Tuesday - he was smashing the bait fish against the beach. About 30 minutes later there was a much bigger smash about 50ft out from me and I finally lost my nerve and came in. Will feel little safer with most of my body out of the water... :-) ------------------------- Hail to the Sun God. He's a really Fun God. RA RA RA |
