With this massive swell lighting up Tres Palms today with some serious outsides . I looked at or 120 and 20 mile buoys .The 1010 120'er has been big for days but 10.5 feet @ 17 sec is unheard of for us . The 20 mile'r is 9.5 @16 sec from the ENE . No wonder we don't have a break that can support this swell . Maybe Reef Road can ?

Wintercane riley march 2018 10.5 @ 16 seconds. Paddled out @ ponce inlet with a blown tendon in my left arm and a torn rotator cuff in my right, Still hadn't recouped from a broken leg at the knee the august before. Hand full of people out I haven't seen before or since. Ponce was handling the swell just fine but due to the extent of my injuries I wasn't. You really needed strong set of paddlers that day because the lines were moving so fast across the bar. Good 8 to 10 foot overhead and pitching out further than it was high. Took of way out the back and got bounced of the bottom not an easy feat, basically sent packing. If I was as healthy as I am now though I would have had a field day and probably caught the wave of my life.

some bombs coming in this afternoon, Satellite was handling it relatively well maybe 10' on some of the bigger sets. Surfline is calling for up to 20' faces at tres tomorrow.

I agree with surfmcc32, Satellite was handling the swell no problem. Plenty of makeable fat shoulders with a lot of juice due to the long period. If you got caught on the inside though you would get hammered. Almost no one out one of the best "swell" days of the year as far as volume/power is concerned. Granted the wind wasn't ideal, but very doable.

Swell is half the height as yesterday , but period is holding strong around 15 sec. It's dropping fast , wind should start getting better tomorrow into the weekend for what is left. Hated Florida wind all week should end .

Tomorrow morning is the last of it. Thank you wave gods. Curse you wind gods.
