.MARINE...

Tonight-Saturday...Cold front will push slowly southward across
the waters tonight, with increasing onshore flow expected late
tonight into Saturday, up to 15-20 knots. This will gradually
build seas to 6-7 feet offshore, with a SCA going into effect
north of Sebastian Inlet by 10 AM Saturday. Have included exercise
caution headlines for the Volusia waters for late tonight as NE
winds will initially increase to 15-20 knots across this portion
of the coastal waters.

Sunday-Wednesday...Sea and boating conditions will continue to
deteriorate Sunday with hazardous conditions persisting through at
least Monday. Current model guidance shows 8-10 ft seas lasting
through Monday, with 7 ft seas lasting in the southern waters
through late Tuesday morning, and 6 ft seas persisting from
Brevard southward through Wednesday. Winds will start off NE
around 15-20 KT Saturday night and into Sunday morning before
increasing to 20-23 KT across all the waters by Sunday afternoon.
Winds will remain elevated through Monday morning before slowly
decreasing to around 15 KT by Monday afternoon. Winds are then
expected to veer more easterly around 15-18 KT on Tuesday and
remain unchanged through Wednesday. Small Craft Advisory will
expand southward to include the entire offshore waters starting 7
PM Saturday night and going through 3 PM Monday afternoon. Later
shifts will likely need to extend this advisory in area and time
depending on how wave model guidance comes in.

It's very easy to predict . If I'm off work it's going to be windy .

This is the slowest winter I've seen in my 38 years of riding waves in Florida.

It has sucked. Plus all that recent dredge and fill on the beach at Patrick is going to ruin the breaks when it gets washed out. Hangars is getting a new boardwalk, looks nice on the driveby. I paddled out yesterday at 2ndlight just to see if the paddling muscles still work, they don't. Learned I could prob use cold-water wax. Water was warm though. No wetsuit needed. Just a topper. Waves sucked. At least they are planting sea oats on the bottom of the new sand they just piled up everywhere.

I'm paddling out next few days on the choppy days just to try to find those paddling muscles again. Amazing how you lose those if you don't have surf to practice on!

We didn't have that definitive swell down here where it's big and clean for a few February days. Maybe March. It gets awfully sharky down here for March though.

This is the Great White season for us in Brevard. I saw something jump the other day and it was freaking massive!

$hit winter. It can't get worse than this. Thank god for other sports, gym, skateboards, etc...

Next year has to be better.

It sounded like a Tropical Storm outside of my house late last night. Fricken worthless wind.

Dave is right, this is going to carve the sandbars to bits. Satty Beach might have some secret sandbars pop up in the near future, but then it will go flat and not matter.

If I sound negative, it's because I am.

Perfect window to get that surgery you always needed. Then waves will probably go off. So whoever you are, go ahead and schedule it so we can get some waves

It's waves. It's not spring break hookup sex more like giving yourself a hand for the release. I don't think you surf well on good days unless you at least go on the chop slop days.

The Base bars are jacked. The local one is okay, but a bit mushy for my tastes. Maybe on the right tide.

Fo show Cole, is local better on high tide or low tide. We doing this all over again. The current should be negligible now and maybe surfing when the glare abates.

SurferMic scores no matter what. He made a deal with Neptune or Poseidon or whatever.

^^^ just got to be willing to drive, have no kids and it helps to have a wife that surfs = scoring good surf when it's on. Bonus is 100% surf trips for vaca...BUT didn't score today, just an average day out front with neighborhood locals...chest high but you needed a longboard to make the connection from way outside all the way in..still fun..better somewhere else.
