This Spectrum has volunteered to be auctioned/raffled off , , , , what do we think it is worth? It is "about" 5'4" and looks to be pretty clean.

I'm pretty sure that's the board Curren gave Slater at the Duke Kahanamoku festival that time the Dead played. I remember because I think Gerry, Lopez not Garcia, was in the lineup between sets. A board like that really has no upper limit in value to the right investor.

We need to get to the bottom of this ASAP. This board is in the "barn boutique" at a local church and they could certainly use the proceeds from this.

I would think the obvious answer would be $50.00 ? ( The Leash , however is probably worth at least $ 60.00 ! )

Ding, check the stringer. All those cats signed it under the glass and the board was already finished. Festivals like that just don't happen much anymore. This board is priceless.

Yes, the stringer is to be checked. I will propose to get the board into my hands this afternoon.

If nothing else, IF it is not the board you think that it may be, I will get it cleanned up and post it here for sale for the church. It does look to be pretty spotless. I can only assume, from the two pictures, that the "marks" on it are mostly just sticker residue. I'm assuming that this board could be 35+ years old.

Tom for the win. If they could only use your words at the auction.

If interested, I know a guy in Satty that can work miracles on an old board to make it look museum-presentation worthy. He refurbed a QF sting fish for me (for my nephew's BD in early April) recently and it looks phenomenal after more damage than this board had. He also did a renovation on an old pre-Birch longboard shaped by Chris before he had his own label that had some sentimental value to my buddy so I had it done for his birthday. He's now got a cool wall hanger in his LR that is a beautiful piece of art. He's a craftsman but I understand sometimes things are to be left "unretouched." Will provide contact details if interested.

Sorry, Laird Hamilton's unicorn is not among the offerings at this auction. Check back again and thank you for asking.

No "writing" along the stringer so, how old would this be?

I'll second the 84 and possible to 86. In 82, most of us were still on twin fins.
