My dad surfed moderately as a teenager in the 70s and this is his go to swell memory. Belle Swell.

Surfed all morning until I was starving to death! Came over the boardwalk at Picnic Tables and one of my best friends was sitting in the back of his van making a sandwich. I asked whether he had more and he handed it to me and started making another one. After polishing them off, we paddled out and got more rubber-armed.

Well, I'll show my age and comment. I remember on the biggest day going to SI and it was way smaller than Patrick and kind of side shore NW wind. The E/SE angle favored central Brevard so we went back north and surfed 1st Light which at the time had a really good setup. It was large with long right walls. I can only imagine what PI was doing. The day before the biggest day there must have been a little more east in the swell and SI was going off with the long period creating one macking wedge shifted to the north some due to the interval. The day after the big day the swell shifted NE and wind was W/SW but only a fraction of the previous days size. Anyway hard to believe that I've forgotten so much from that time yet remember those details.
