In my pre-surf sleeplessness (thx long Flaco now a part of my surfing vernacular) I thought this would be a swell to get back to our 2ndlight vizzie report that we used to have from various members.

**Feel Free to keep your secret spot secret if you want. Don't have to post name***

Most of the others spots if you have been on 2ndlight awhile then "if you know...then you know" or just state general area since we got fellow surfers from Miami to Jax on here.

Hopefully this will be a thread to look fondly upon in the future.

Great thinking! I have wondered the same thing as that was the whole reason I joined - like you - in 2006 ... the stoke. Swell incoming, where are you going, how is it, how was it, the whole 9 yards.

The key is the Stoke! The stoke Sunrise had.

I'll give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don't count where my first check point will be. We'll take it from there. 5 star Wed, Thu and Fri on MSW.

Since the topic has been brought up, which is always awesome, and I know it's in here somewhere if you search properly, but could you refresh our memories on how to upload a photo or two or three or four the easiest way on here. I've done it before, but it has been a long time, and I know it's a bit difficult unless they've streamline things and I am unaware, thanks so much. I know Dan used to post a whole bunch of pictures on here and I asked him one day how he did it and it kind of went right over my head, ha !!..: ))

Spectral energy density on the 1 miler is trending to the fat side:

41113 spectral density plot

Last night it was mostly a peak at 10 sec and some shorter period stuff.

Funky looking with the tide and wind this evening (Wednesday). Some decent sets, but you need a tow-in to make the sections.

Surfed satellite beach this evening and was tricky with the wind and chop but caught a handful that lined up and knocked the rust off and ready for tomorrow.
Swell has come in and was about head high.

Jbsurf - I have found there is know super easy way. I add them up a photo hosting site and think link them to the post on 2ndlight website.

Very good today up here in Volusia: this morning was clean, sets solid head high and breaking nice not closing. After work it looked like the size had increased but a bit of chop from the wind. I didn't get to surf after work as rainstorm but this evening can hear more power in the waves breaking loud! I think DP will be very good, then as swell peaks into Friday probably too much for many spots...

get up early and go surf - it'll make that hangover go away and/or make the workday more tolerable :)

Throwing my lot in this afternoon. Just hoping the wind cooperates and some closeouts open up for me.

If you have the time to hunt the good ones, there is a great wave to be had, but as a whole this AM is so-so in Cocoa Beach. The wind from last evening has left it's mark and there are sets twice the size of the waves in the pics, so you will get a nice power rinse as you wait for the cleaner inside edges. Great? No. Fun, yes.

When the tide pulls out and if the wind cooperates, lunch time just might be a blast.

Same results for me just south of Dave's place; lotsa fun takeoffs but it was game over pretty quickly. Timed the paddle out pretty well though, it was lookin 50-50 from the beach but caught a lull.

After a great time yesterday, today kinda sucked for me. My surfing window was only in the early AM, and the wind was SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSW where I was at: North part of town without S wind protection. Still had a couple of good rides with a lil wobble. Better than any other day but was hoping it would have been as glassy as yesterday.

1:45 pm...Looks like wind is straight offshore now after that storm passed. Rifling judging from the cams. I'm outta here

Didn't like what I was seeing in town this a.m. so I went to the other side of the cape. Was smaller but fun if you got a good one! Shoulder to head high in south Daytona area. And yes whew child!! It was packed

Came back into SatBch for round 2 and was just as fun but way less crowded :-)

This kid Nohea?? got the stoke and wave count award. My wife was taking the pics and said he had caught the most waves out there and charging whether it was big or small ones.
