My old man lost one of his beloved fins while not surfing but boogie boardin' in Cape Canaveral at Taft/Azure during the big breaks last Friday. He's had 'em since '82 stationed out in Oz so you can imagine a man's pain at losing such a thing. Current was moving strongly southward so I imagine it should've washed up at least at the pier though I imagine likely much further down than that. Pic attached is the one that survived, for reference. If any of you spot it, would greatly appreciate your good word! Much love!

Sorry to hear about the lost fin. Saw this suspicious character in the area, looks like he may know the whereabouts

Looks like a Churchill, should be very close to one of their current models. Dad needs tether.

The sea taketh and the sea give back! Lo and behold, the lost fin washed ashore nearly 4 miles south at 2nd street and was picked up not by Looty but by a fellow 2ndlighter!! Needless to say my old man was wholeheartedly stoked, and will 100% be getting a hold of some tethers for the next big swell. For the lost fin, a 6 pack of fins was exchanged as well as a profuse amount of genuine thanks. Big ups to this community, long live 2ndlight!!

Hubboards sells a very good tether. the tether part is held by a secure plastic clippy that goes on and releases easily. Also, the releases are on the inside of the ankle, which is surprisingly easier to reach than the outside. Another brand had the clips all on the same side. Hubboards (best price)Ebodyboarding

Most excellent!

I had a strange feeling that it would be found.

I'm still waiting for the Go-pro graveyard to be discovered. I can picture a pile of cameras, a few doubloons, some FCS fins, a few fishing lures with hooks long rusted away and an octopus with a hoarding disorder.

I was right.
