Excellent insightful commentary by Mr Jimmy Slade ! ---------- RE : I'm confused, how is the WSL Champ decided this early into the season? ----- ( To all the confused : After the Surf ranch contest , they were going to run an entire 3 day event at Trestles , followed by ending the tour with one last contest in Tahiti ( Almost like ending it in the islands ) , for some reason the Trestles event got scrubbed , so then they were still scheduled to finish in Tahiti , then that event got canceled as well , so for some unknown reason its back to Trestles for a One day showdown ! Not the least bit confusing ????? )

Medina's 9 score was pretty crazy ride. That guy is flawless.

It turned into a Three man heat --------15 minute Shark pause .

Man it was almost painful seeing some of them not ridden. Even the camera guy panned and followed a few for a long while when someone let one go by.

I was right.

Awesome and weird end to the season. Medina giving a dig there at the end saying he was 11.000 points ahead and in a normal season it would have been decided before the final day. In the end the two best surfers in their genders won. Yes the waves were nuts!!
