My Son has surfed for 30 years, his Son and Daughter are learning and loving it, our Daughters oldest surfs and is a lifeguard in the panhandle and the younger is learning!

Grateful for all the responses on this. I definitely am not the dad to force them into it. It's funny cause I was feeling like a failure/super bummed that they aren't all fired up to surf like me.

All 3 of mine could surf but didn't get the stoke until what they call "Coronacation" when they were out of school, all other sporting activities, band, orchestra, and anything else ceased to exist. I was working two 1/2 days a week video conferencing. I bought 4-5 boards (thanks Cole for a couple) and now we all surf together all the time. Two sessions with my daughter today. My oldest is off to College so I am grateful to Covid for slowing our lives down enough that we could enjoy surfing together. So grateful none of us got sick before we could all be vaccinated.
