Just had a gel knee injection and was curious who and how many of you guys and gals have gone through this and what the expected outcome could be? I have a knee that's been damaged and had surgery a couple times over the years, and it's getting to be quite arthritic and badly beat up, bone on bone type stuff. Curious how these gels work in how long they might last?

I had the Eufflexxor injections, worked great for over 5 years, until I tore out my ACL replacement from 1985!

I've got a buddy, late 50's, always playing ball. Gets the gel injections in his knees, says it feels great for a couple months. Only bad part, according to him, is the injection itself followed by a major ache in the wallet. Insurance does not cover.

Aren't these the kinda questions that you ask .....before ..... having it done???

My buddy's leg blew up like a balloon after an injection, though he had been doing it for several years. Another buddy did the blood stem cell thing and he is as good as new, but that was for a small meniscus tear and not a destroyed knee.

Bohdi TCM in Satellite Bch. Amazing results without all the crap that's in those injections (not so much stem cell). Gets the body to heal and repair itself. I know crazy but, I can tell you it works for me. Drs say both knees and hip are shot and need reconstruction, yeah that aint happenin. Surfed 2 hours today pain free. Still pricey as everything outside of "normal" western med will cost you.

Traditional Chinese Medicine. This Little lady does not mess around. Acupuncture is just a part of total well being and just one thing she does.. Have done acupuncture before but not like this. She is a DOM from UF trained in China. About as committed to the practice as I am to surfing. Its a spiritual ting.

Update on the HA gel injection into my right knee, worked wonders, I could surf pain-free and no swelling, I've been bike riding, walk on the beach every morning, dirt biking hitting the gym doing leg workouts, which is been desperately needed to get the muscle size and strength back. However it has run its course and lasted me a little over four months, it's projected to last six, I've had friends that it lasted them a year, some more, insurance covers this but I have to wait till the six-month date to get another series. This next time around I think I'll dial it down a little bit, but was definitely pleased!!
and no Hamster nutz..

This is why I stopped doing airs. That and I can't do them.

Keep us posted. What works, works.
