A bunch of Satellite boardwalks where whisked away this Wednesday evening. Hightower boardwalk ripped up along with others. A condo's first floor is flooded. There will be a lot of decking debris in the line up following the storm.

Good luck everyone. Nicole looks to come ashore just to the South of Brevard as a Cat 1 storm in a few hours, early Thursday morning.

Surf-Forecast continues with outlandish surf energy forecasts for Jensen Beach, almost 26,000 kilo joules for 10 pm tonight. Already 14,000

The only good that might come out of this is if the storm surge washed over the barrier island in the northern banana river and southern mosquito lagoon and got some cleaner water in those two areas that are so choked up with algae.

Go south. It's offshore side shore and big. Manageable here in palm beach county.

Satellite got shredded. Most walkways are gone and the condos are much closer to the ocean than they were a week ago. A few more of these and that's it. I am of the school that once that happens, a law should be made that bans new construction east of A1A.

As far as sand? It will take a million trucks to replace what Mother Nature removed in a few storms.

It's nutty that there ever was much construction east of A1A.

Does anyone know exactly where Nicole's eye made landfall?

It seems that once a hurricane comes ashore, there is little archived data about where it hit.

If anyone knows of a site that archives the landfall locations of hurricanes, I'd appreciate the info.

I didnt really notice an eye in Melbourne Beach last night, so I'm thinking it was to the south?

Not much eye on Nicole. Here's sat every 10 mins or so. I looked at Nov 10, about 3AM, and see some clearer sky south of Vero, north of Ft. Pierce (?). YMMV. https://cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.g...I/SECTOR/taw/GEOCOLOR/

So, Friday, Veterans day. Buoy is 10 and 12. Wind is SW. Today? Did not paddle out yesterday afternoon. Tons of wood in the water and on the beach where we walked in MelBeach.

It don't look all that good on the cams this friday morning. any vizzies? Yes, I'd be scared of floating boardwalks in the shorepound. I've hit one before back in high school after a storm.

I was just watching a cam and saw a guy carrying some lumber and more wood decking moving by in the shorepound. Ugh. be careful if you paddle out today.

Cocoa Beach is junk right now. The swell is north and the wind is stiff southwest. For a lack of a better word, ripples, as in giant ripples, are making it bizarre. I saw a few fast barrels, but the chance of being in the right place right now is slim to nil. Maybe later.

I didn't see much junk in the water. I also didn't see much reason to paddle out.

I have that feeling too. I just hope the sand bars agree.
