Very cool. Thanks for posting. Lots of memories, great for we surfers of a "certain age". I still have that Surfer with his first cover at Ala Moana (although I didn't know it was his first).

I met him once at The Mex E Cono Restaurant in Nags head NC. He's a tiny guy. That's probably only a chest high wave to me.

I actually surfed at Pipe when he was out, and Nat Young was out as well. He complemented me on a wave I had and that has to be the most stoked I'd ever been having a icon giving props. The film starts with him apologizing for dropping in or as he described stealing other peoples waves...sure enough he pitted me, but I was just a kid from CB probably going out of turn so...

I would say yin, since he said it lacerated his butt but didn't mention anything about his yang.
