This is not all that complicated folks. Does the davo have dings? Sand the shit out of it, wipe it down with copious amounts of denatured alcohol. That will help remove epoxy surfactants. If they are present, NOTHING will stick.
Then shoot the shit out of it with clear spray paint. Stu sharpe, who probably shaped it, uses "speed finish". Don't try to finish it with epoxy. Polyester suncure will work better.
