Swell in mid to late May? It's very rare.

In early April 2008, I had my first hip replacement. I scheduled it for April thinking that would give me 5 months to heal and be ready for hurricane season. We had one swell in April, two in May, one more in June, two in July (one on my birthday for cryin' out loud) and four in August. All we need for a May swell is for one of our compadres to sacrifice themselves for us. Anybody out there?

Would be easier to answer that question if 41010 was working. Looks like it's been down for almost a month. Sadly I haven't had reason to check it

Tom, I did the right leg in 2008. I am a regular foot and my return was awesome. Did my left (front leg) in 2013 and results were not nearly as good. I have never really gotten back the quick pop up. I have the strength and flexibility, but the nerves don't fire as quickly. (I had the old style posterior cut which cuts a lot of nerves in the butt along with a 12" scar.)

Ouch! Ok though, we have the intel we need. Any regular footers out there with a bum back hip? Bueller? Anyone? Anyone?

Waves were pretty decent for mid May today (Sat) in north indi, breaking through high tide with some head high sets. Some wobble and backwash and a little krinkle from the wind, but overall expectations were exceeded. Not too crowded either (at least at this "secret spot") which was puzzling but welcome.

Fort Pierce was chest to hear clean greatness. What a day.
