I assume we will lose most all our sandbars in the next 10 days or so.

Do you all think or nearshore reefs will see day light again?

Also wondering how long it will take before we get a decent sandbar again?

I'm sure the state and feds will cry disaster and throw more tax $$ into the ocean next spring to renourish.

Just a matter of time before mother ocean starts to chew away at the base of these oceanfront mega structures. maybe not this yr.. but eventually.

I imagine the longshore current from LEE will erode the beach this upcoming week!

Seriously?!? We haven't even got what could be potentially some of the best swell in years, and already worried about negative hypotheticals?!?!

Best is debatable. Unless of course you are holding out on some secret spot. If so, my PMs are open.

To the subject at hand, Satellite is screwed. Bye bye to the new walkways and another 15 feet of the dune.

apparently you skipped over the word "potentially".... at the time I'd say Hurricane Bill swell is probably the best analog, and this one has the potential to be bigger & last longer..... and sadly has there really been an epic hurricane swell since? No secret spots needed, just may have to drive around to find it.

South Indian River County will be interesting. The Riomar Cove beach has been growing seaward for years while farther south, nope. And not enough property owners signed waivers for renourishment to go ahead. That's the area with houses over 10 million, presumably none with normal homeowner insurance.
Not sure that Lee will administer an Ian-like beating to Brevard

I wonder what's up with Surfline. They have some wild far-out predictions for around Sept 24 (how about 20 ft for Long Island?) but seem to be under-playing Lee.

I get your point about complaining... and I will take the swell regardless after this 90 day flat spell we went through. Will this be the best swell in years?? Crossing fingers, but looks like we won't have a classic offshore day.. maybe some clean morns if we are lucky. seems like we will get screwed by the winds for the 2nd time this season.. grrrr! ;-)

watching Margot precess with Lee was a pretty cool animation. I'm sure it will change...every day, lol.
