Cocaine- Caught one of his shows in Augusta, Georgia of all places back in '81 or '82. He was solo and not necessarily the most dynamic show. But I found the music good, the venue wasn't even near full so wandered right up near the stage, and I enjoyed it.

I had to google it to figure what you were talking about. Agreed that the 11 dollar lawsuit is ridiculous.

Some of my deep cut favorites.

Presence of the Lord - Blind Faith (love Blind Faith stuff)
Riding with the King - with Riley King (that whole album is very good)
May You Never

Watched the Beatles Get Back series, it was really good. They talked about Clapton a few times. After Harrison walked out the other three Beatles considered bringing Clapton in to finish the recordings...but they reconciled with George.

BTW - wasn't there a thread about that Beatles Get Back series?
I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks, saw that one but thought there was one with more posts about observations about Yoko, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, the tech of the time, no guitar stands, etc.
It must have been on a different forum.

Here is a funny/sad rant about Clapton's current state by a Clapton superfan.
Clapton and/or his lawyers suing that lady for $11 is chickenshit. Clapton's support of crossroads is still great. His soul is confused.

(BTW, the guy has a cool music room complete with tweed fender amps in the background and a shit ton of vinyl and stuff)

When did Clapton become such a FK'ing Wanker?

Truth be told, he has prolly always been a FK'ing Wanker, but it is hard to get away with wanker behavior in this era of 24/7/365 news cycles and social media;

After all he did write an entire album dedicated to "his best friend"'s wife and then steal her away from him. If they had been rappers. George would have popped a cap in Clapton's ass!
