At a distance, it appears to be a very sedate sport; just a bunch of people zipping around in a circle. Things like this really show the true nature of the beast.. I wish him the best.

That crash was absolutely crazy and the fact he wasn't killed instantly is a testament to the PPE in the cars. Definitely wishing him a speedy recovery.

I went to the race on Saturday. I've never really watched NASCAR on TV and this was my first time seeing it live. It was a really cool experience, I couldn't believe that they let you bring in a cooler full of beerz. We had great seats 3 rows back from the guy that waves the flag.

I'm hell bent on going back and doing the thing where they let you drive a car around the track.

Nice. I've always wanted to go to the 500, but never have. I hate crowds and traffic. Thus, comfortably numb on my couch while watching. I only watch the 500 then lose interest.

News report last night said he is awake and talking. I'm sure today's news reports will offer more.

There's nothing in life like leaning up to the fence when those guys are coming off turn 4, it's incredible for lack of a better word. I can't watch more than five laps on tv, but in person it is a must see at least once in your life.
