SpaceX plans to launch its eighth batch of Starlink Internet satellites into orbit from Cape Canaveral at 9:25 p.m. EDT Wednesday

T-minus 35 minutes. Filling of the Falcon 9 rocket with super-chilled, densified kerosene and liquid oxygen is underway at Cape Canaveral. This will mark SpaceX's ninth launch of the year, and the 86th flight of a Falcon 9 rocket since June 2010.
The liquid oxygen flowing into the first stage is chilled to near minus 340 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 206 degrees Celsius). |
