Tripoli was weird.

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

Too many to count

Oman was the worst, downright terrifying.
HNL is my favorite because of the tropical smell that hits you when you walk the open air bridge to the main terminal from concourse!

35+,easy.........but the craziest was an overnight in Ulyanovsk, Russia. February.
Flew in/out on an Antonov-124. Asked the woman who opened the door of the locked "hotel" if they had hot water and she said "Da".....10 minutes later I had to go back and ask her to turn in on.
30 minutes later, it started.......brown, brown hot water.
Next morning had "breakfast" in a closed down strip joint on the 2nd floor of the "hotel".
Weird, weird place

Well over a hundred. Several interesting events: Was on a Delta L1011 coming out of San Francisco when an engine blew up, they circle around and got us down without batting an eye. Was on a BAe ATP (prop) into Belfast City airport the pilot safely landed us in a 60 to 70 mph head wind. Most impressive flying I have ever seen and I am a guy who has spent his life around airplanes. It was blowing so hard that the walk from the plane to the terminal was a serious undertaking. They had to help the elderly. I was in medicine lodge Kansas (google it) in a small airplane. Runway is 3200' long when a Lear 25 came in and landed. The takeoff was even more impressive. As a point of reference you would normally want 4500' to land. That guy was pretty gutsy. Told me the pheasant hunting out there was worth it. Was in Tanzania and we landed at Kilamanjaro international. The guy behind me going thru immigration was grabbed and hauled off. Turned out he was a wanted criminal. I had spent the flight listening to his BS.

Back in the '60's living in Boynton Beach, had this little apartment just off US # 1.
The driveway took you back into a Mango and Coconut grove.

We named it " The Airport."

because there was always

"Unscheduled flights daily!"

so i guess i flew in and out of a million or 2 airports...it's hard to remember?
