Brevard is a super nice place to live. I've been here since 1979 when my dad got assigned to Patrick AFB. Glad I bought property and had the opportunity when it was affordable!

Had dinner at Mannie's over off Wickham Friday evening. Great place, but completely filled with NY/NJ Guidos. Complete with unbuttoned shirts and gold chains. Fuggedaboudit.
Seems like less traffic locally yesterday though, make the heat is sending some back north. ------------------------- It's going to get worse before it gets worse. |

My great aunt was one of the 246 in Cocoa Beach.
------------------------- So long and thanks for all the fish. |

Cole I heard sea turtles were on the menu way back. What she ever say on that?

Yep, turtles! Not to my liking but, when you're hungry and having a turtle cook out on the beach, , , , , ,!!
Little known turtle fact, , , , , Archie Carr initially got into turtles not to save them but, to figure out how to manage a sustainable harvest. |

Also sea cows! At a certain fish market in Melbourne!

Nothing about turtles, but she did say the water was gin clear and you could catch sea trout with a strip of white cloth on a hook.
------------------------- So long and thanks for all the fish. |

You could see the bottom of the channel from the old Eau Gallie swing-bridge (1956).
The "smart", old boy, bridge shrimpers would make nets out of chicken wire; you had to have a way for the "little" ones to get out or you could not lift the net up. Edited: 06/13/2021 at 05:31 AM by dingpatch |

It really is a tragedy what has happened to the river.
Maybe it's too far gone? I don't see much progress. |

It really is a tragedy what has happened to the river. Maybe it's too far gone? I don't see much progress. It's been clear without any rain, but that's about to end. Some say it septic tanks, but I do find it strange that they don't seem to have any effect till the rains come. ------------------------- So long and thanks for all the fish. |
