Watched Kansas play last night. Holy smokes they are good. couldn't stay up for Kentucky/duke game. Gotta look up who won.

UCF first game tonight. Both Men and Women's team should be pretty good. Hoping both can make it to NCAA tourny.

Might at well address the big one first: Top-ranked Gonzaga will face No. 2 UCLA in the Good Sam Empire Classic on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, a rematch of the thrilling national semifinal won by the Bulldogs in overtime.

"I was breaking down last night watching our UCLA game - they literally have their whole team back," Gonzaga coach Mark Few said. "We're definitely totally different, and to Mick (Cronin)'s credit, they used that as a springboard. They're playing really confident and much like they played in the NCAA Tournament."

This will be the first time the Bruins have faced the nation's No. 1 team in the regular season since Dec. 3, 2016, when they defeated top-ranked Kentucky in Rupp Arena.

"Mick and I worked really hard putting this game together," Few said. "We came to realize that we need to do stuff like this because of West Coast basketball, and we'll continue to do that moving forward. But to navigate our way to this game with these lofty rankings, whether they're real or not - we'll figure that out in February - should make for a fun night."

Watch: Tyree Appleby Hits Buzzer-Beater as Florida Gators Beat Ohio State
Watch Florida Gators guard Tyree Appleby sink a buzzer-beating three-pointer to defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The No. 23 Florida Gators fended off the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Beach Division Championship round of the Fort Myers Tip-Off, and they couldn't have asked for a more heroic effort from senior guard Tyree Appleby.

LAS VEGAS -- After his team's 83-63 win over No. 2 UCLA on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena, Gonzaga's Drew Timme said the No. 1 Bulldogs had not sent a message with their dominant victory to anyone outside their locker room.

"I would just say we proved to ourselves that we can live up to the Zags standard when we really lock in and play defense together," he said. "We don't go out to prove stuff to people. We prove stuff to ourselves. And we did a good job today."

Great game last night. Michigan was up 14 points in 2nd half and UCF came roaring back to win. UCF is now 9-2. 2 losses were to Oklahoma and Auburn. Resume building win against Michigan last night. Michigan was pretty good, but young. UCF defense clamped down and got hot shooting. Sold out game at UCF arena.

UCF makes 8 straight 3s, beats Michigan, 85-71, for 1st time

Meanwhile, UCF lost yesterday to usf. Bleh. UCF will need to win the conference to get into the tourny. Too inconsistent and bad losses.

FYI, last night there were back-to-back UCF vs USF games on ESPNU.

Both UCF teams won. The women, for the first time won the AAC both regular and conf tourny and are off to the NCAA tourny.

The men's team has to play Memphis tonight (friday 9pm espnU). I don't expect UCF to get past Memphis. Penny Hardaway Memphis team is on a tear lately and probably will do good in the NCAA tourny. No post season play for UCF unless by miracle they win tonight (seriously doubt it).

Memphis smoked UCF early up by 21, then in 2nd half UCF crawled back within 3 points and once again Memphis pulled away. They have a deep and very talented team.

They have a 6'11" freshman, #2, that is a freak of nature and should be in the NBA already.

Nice for Miami! I'll have to start watching. I watched Houston beat Ill yesterday. Cougs look pretty good.

UCF women's team beat the Gators and Saturday but now have a huge challenge Monday night 9pm ESPN against heavy favorites UCONN.

The U is a tough matchup for a team with a more traditional, center, forwards & guards lineup ....but have been vulnerable to teams like them, a very guard heavy lineup. Which is why they lost 2 games to FSU and 2 games to UVa

Yup, a few free throws away from beating UCONN for the first time ever! UCONN had home court advantage and their crowd surely rattled the free throw shooters.
