Melbourne's motto - Anything to crowd more people in, tie up traffic and on the bridges and generally make life a pain for those who live here.

Not until "2024" and, , , , , ,

I'm told that they still have some "property size" issues.

Jimmy Buffett has shown he will do anything for a buck. I really liked him in the 70s, but, he became a whore in the 80s. (Just read one of his books. They're all about how much he owns.) And, his music pretty much died then, too. He will never have enough.

These have been popping up all over the place. They built one in W Irlo Bronson in the hotel strips near Disney. Then a big one in Jax Beach, right in front of where I used to surf just north of the Pier (Smells like piss in the AM now, and it eliminated the remaining free parking spaces).

Jimmy Buffet won't leave this earth poor that's for sure.

Isn't there one west of Daytona now? Disgusting.

The guy who used to sing about told time Keys ends up just like the people who destroyed it.

I got nothing bad to say about Margarativille. The one over at Universal studios is a pretty cool place.

Can't be any worse that Squid lips or Grills, both which aren't that good food-wise but fun riverfront live music venues.

You can bet it will be one tacky, oversized, parrot head mess. I saw Buffett many times in the early 70s (for free) at UF and he put on a good concert (and my girlfriends loved him, which made for a great night). Now, his ego and lust for money are out of control and his parrot heads are a bunch of overaged goofs who want to pretend to be Floridians. They are both a joke. (And, since the early 80s, his music is just a poor rehash of his old tunes, starting with "fins to the left....". Not a pencil thin or come monday among them.)

Something was going to go in that spot, Jimmy B's, Disney, etc. It really doesn't matter, that river front prop is a prime spot.

On the bright side....if the crowd at the resort is anything like a Jimmy Buffet concert, then going there should be an ego-boost for most people.

Fans to the left, fans to the right, and he's the richest guy in town.

Straight from AARP magazine.

Just imagine The Villages with all the golf cart drivers drunk and playing the same song on too-loud stereos.

There's an entire Margaritaville neighborhood in West Orlando just outside the Disney property. The guy is most certainly rolling in the dough.

That entire neighborhood is certainly fully of doughy men and women wearing hula skirts made of shredded plastic and coconut bras.
