Has Nebraska fired Scotty Frost yet?

Joega will, deservedly, be #1.

Multiple programs will be throwing SERIOUS $$$$$$$$$$ at Mark Stoops

Lost in the shuffle of a crazy college football day, was FCS program Eastern KY, beating FBS program, Bowling Green 59-57 ..... in SEVEN overtimes!!!

Kentucky beat Gators. I watched that entire game. Amazing for Kentucky to go into the swamp and show up! It's not your grandfathers SEC anymore.

from ap wire:
LINCOLN, Neb. -- - Georgia Southern's players sprinted into the south end zone in celebration after the Eagles finished their 45-42 upset of three-touchdown-favorite Nebraska on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, in the southeast corner of Memorial Stadium, the student section was chanting "Fire Frost, Fire Frost, Fire Frost."

Mental note for P5 athletic directors: don't schedule Sun Belt teams anymore.

He didn't make it that far:

Big $$$$ Husker boosters had enough and wrote some serious buyout checks.

Damn!!! Why can't I get a job where they pay me $5mil a year and when I fail miserably ..... as in all time record breaking failure .... I get $15mil to go away!! I am fully capable of failing as spectacularly as Scotty did!!

It looks like AR is a promising talent but hopes of seeing a heisman for him have been brought back down to earth. He throws every pass at light speed. He had no touch and he threw it to the wrong guy. He's talented but it's raw talent. That being said, Stoops is a great coach and he recruited great running backs and a great quarterback. They won that game because they played better. Tennessee played very well. Arkansas played well. Florida has a very hard schedule ahead and I think they beat a few more good teams but it ends at the SEC east loss.

Picked it last week - UF at 18. Richardson looked all world against Utah, but has been brought back down to earth against the Wildcats. I never thought I'd see the day when UF became UK's punks on the football field. It's good for football to bring the powers back down, though. That said, UF has not been a real power except under two coaches (and only SOS counts to true Gator fans; the carpet bagger never was a Gator). I was there when Dickey was coach and Dan Jenkins's saying was never more apt - "The arrogance of Notre Dame and the tradition of Wake Forest". FSU and UM (along with UF) fans would do well to remember that they have been failures for far longer than powers. The valleys make the summits far better.

Look at Kentucky in the top ten! No longer a basketball school. Also, highlight Arkansas who just knocked off South Carolina and Cincy the weekend before.

Still a basketball school and always will be. Bear Bryant left, after winning the NC in 1950 (disputed, kind of like UCF) saying, "They gave Adolph Rupp a Cadillac and gave me a cigarette lighter." This will not change that, but, still, good for them. Stoops is top notch.
