Feel bad for those who are scheduled to ride it next as they were watching. ------------------------- If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: THE ONLY PROOF HE NEEDED FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD WAS MUSIC - KV |

Seems like they are using the Texas site to fly things that are not passenger ready so they can blow it up and learn from the blow-up. Might actually shorten the development phase rather than trying to figure out each and every bug. Just fly it with lots of telemetry and then fix the issue that failed for the next iteration. Maybe I'm being generous but it kind of seems like a deliberate plow ahead strategy and they are going to demonstrate success before they put a person on board.

Not sure I'd be too excited to ride on the Twittership.
------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". |

Falcon lost 3, one on the ground, one lifting and one second stage failure. Now they're the only game in town for manned flight. Starship is ambitious. But I tend to think it will be successful because it's based on Falcon. At least one of the Falcon boosters now has a dozen successful launch and fly backs on it. That's impressive.

Damage to the TX launch site. Notes that Artemis blew out the ML too. Big toys. . https://www.google.com/amp/s/p...lobbered-texas-pad.amp

Falcon 9 Heavy tonight at 7:29. Only 27 engines, not 33. 27? The new crater will be smaller, but still support a healthy population of toxic fish. ------------------------- I was right. |
