Remigo USA. A Slovenian company, on display this weekend at the Vero Beach boat show, by Novurania of America, an Italian-based company that manufactures in Vero Beach.

Smart design, huge weight savings

Spent a few days sailing Annapolis last month and the electric outboards out numbered the gas two to one at the dingy dock. Very popular.

Yay. The closest I've come to Annapolis was flying into Baltimore-Washington airport with a window seat on a beautiful afternoon.

Always imagined that would become a popular option for backup power for larger sailing vessels, add some solar panels and extra battery storage and you are good to go.

^Yes! Some designers are on board (haha!) with that. Electric saildrive for propulsion. Solar and wind for constant charging. Generator for backup or high demand, think extended motoring or (gasp!) AC. This is essentially a plug in hybrid with the expected improvements in efficiency. https://www.bavariayachts.com/...e-make-sailing-silent/

Electric drives for power or sail. I like thehttps://www.torqeedo.com/us/en...-fp--48v-/1328-00.html clever bolt on pods, no rotating drive shaft exiting underwater. Big drives. https://www.torqeedo.com/us/en...00i-900/000-01059.html Pods.

Oops, sorry about the weird link embedding. You'll figure it out.

Maybe when my 2001 2-stroke finally dies I'll get an electric 150 hp.
Cruising silently and smokeless would be fantastic

Anybody who's actually going deep is going to have more than one propulsion source. And more than one way to procure it and run it.
And always keep that snaggly ol' 3-5hp kicker outboard to get you home....
when all else fails

It's a democratic hoax
