We used to "know" Steve. He and his band were the "house" band at the Missile Lounge in Cocoa Beach, "Tops In Topless"!!

Howard : are you sure ? This is the Space Cowboy Steve Miller ! He was already signed to a major label as early as 1965 and was opening for the Airplane and the Dead in Frisco on the West Coast . ( By the way that old guy on the far right is Les Paul , Steve's Godfather ).

Yes, him.

And, some years later, we were at his live show at the old Eddie Graham Sports Stadium when he talked about it.

No idea in regard to the name of the band.

We were pretty young , and Steve was a very young man.

Saw him a few times at festivals thru the years. One at a speedway in web with seger and quiksilver. Then worked a few shows with him. The one that stands out: he opened for Joe cocker in wpb ampitheater few years back. And was amazing, almost all blues.
Then introduced himself backstage after the show......one of those days.
