Got a bottle of Diplomatico for Christmas. Mmmmm, good stuff. Also, my "go to" bargain rum used to be Ron Abuelo. I still like it, but, have been drinking Blackwell's since my wife got me a bottle for my birthday last year. I first got Ron Abuelo in Panama for about $1.99/bottle back in 2005. I bought the store out (only about 5 bottles, it was a small store) and drank it during my trip, bringing the leftovers back at the end of the trip. Good stuff.

I love the Ron Abuelo 12 year old. The blackwells is one I just tried recently and it's a bargain.

So the plantation dark is 18 a bottle. It's very good. I like it more than the Blackwells.

I just bought a bottle of R L Seales 10 year old Barbados rum. 93 pts. $26. I will report once I am able.

The r l seales is a smooth sip. It's not the bold flavor of Santa Teresa solera but it's very good. 93 pts. 26 bucks.

Tonight is Ron Zamora. Mostly because I misread the bottle. I thought it was aged 23 years. It's not. It's a blend of 23 Guatemalan rums. Turns out it's good. About 23$ a bottle.

My wife picked up a bottle of Blackwel's last week at ABC and was told they were going to quit carrying it. Sucks.

I think the Santa Teresa solera is the best, or at least my favorite. If you drink any bourbon or whiskeys on the rocks, try that.

Haven't been able to drink either since I was about 20 (45 years ago) after a particularly rough and ready night. Burping it for a week turned me off forever.

Some things should not be recycled.
