I had a friend who went, mostly for ministry, but he said the melvins drummer was real good and to look him up.

I was there too and they were impressive. I saw them in Melbourne years ago and liked them, but now I am older and some of my music presets have expanded to include bands that didn't fit the preconceived mold of my younger years. Getting old does have a few benefits.
