Ozzy Osbourne announced the cancellation of his upcoming shows, and said his touring career is over because he "is not physically capable (of it)."

In a statement released on Wednesday, the 74-year-old said he had a major accident four years ago in which he damaged his spine and that he can no longer cope with the travel required for a tour.

"My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage," he said. "My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak."

How he is alive at all is a mystery.

I'm wondering if for contractual purposes...did Ozzy have to negotiate with Satan in order to retire?

Me and Bealzebub will both miss that rascal!

Def has that gene.

Saw Sabbath 3 times in the mid 70's - before they booted him out for partying too much..

Snow powered stage presence - non stop

Ironically, Ozzy's post Sabbath, solo career was MUCH more successful that Sabbath's was without Ozzy

I really liked Dio version of Black Sabbath. Heaven and Hell is a great album.

I never saw sabbath live, but listened to them a lot when i was younger.

Of course Ozzy's solo career was really great! Rock legend.

I wonder with Jeff Beck passing away if Ozzy's 'Patient Number 9" got a closer look for a grammy.
