Hoping to find someone beachside (between Mel Bch and CB) or across the river, not too far west of US1. (i.e., not deep West Melbourne, Palm Bay, or deep Viera).

Rank amateur here with some understanding of music theory. Not looking for a formal course so much... rather, someone flexible and willing to just sit down, talk a lot, analyze some songs of interest, and try to work out the rhythm tracks (chords & strumming patterns), and a few very basic lead riffs on an ad hoc schedule.

Lemmy know if ya gots a recommendation!

Many thanks.

If all you want is to learn some of your fav songs it is really hard to beat youtube.

I remember learning songs by needle dropping over and over and over again on vinyl.
I WISH there was youtube back then! lol!
But no internet did make you get out and get with other people learning to play and get experience playing with other actual people and seeing how they approach things.

Ideally, learn what you can off youtube and then get with others where you can...friends, jam sessions, and churches can be good.

Good Luck and have fun!

Several easy open tune tricks open up a lot of songs
I'll send pm

Hey Spin,

I do still have that G&L and love it. Unfortunately, medical and other issues (life) always cut into my playing time.

I'm not a good student, LOL... probably too much ADHD.

I'm not well focused on internet-based learning, because I get too distracted by other interesting links and frustrated with all the search time.

I'm more of an interactive learner about lots of things, and I can't really ask YouTube a question about why something is the way it is. Some of it pertains to music theory, some to hand positioning, some to timing, all sorts of stuff that are just more easily answered if I'm sitting there with an experienced musician.

Looking forward to a pm (sent you my contact info in the interim) and maybe some time to get together and embarrass myself.

Thanks to both you and Bamboo!

Curtis
