Please throw your 'Teflon' crap in the trash.
I had previously purchased an eight inch 'hybrid' from Michelangelo to 'give it a try' and it works like a champ. It uses a Hexclad 'knock off' hex pattern. All of my other pots&pans are Greenpan's ceramic Venice Pro. So, yesterday for Prime I ordered a hybrid Greenpan APEX 10 incher. Got it an hour ago and gave it a quick look and a wash. Put it on the electric coil stove top on high and let it warm up a bit. No oils. Dropped in a cold egg and let it get going to the point where it was 'snapping and popping. and it slid right off with a stainless spatula. Oh, and, , , , it is oven safe up to 850F. ------------------------- Dora Hates You Edited: 10/10/2025 at 09:12 AM by dingpatch |

Greenpan APEX
The APEX series is Greenpan's 'Amazon' line and is not shown on greenpan.com. The 10 inch SPECTRA is $100+ at Greenpan's site. ------------------------- Dora Hates You Edited: 10/10/2025 at 09:38 AM by dingpatch |

My lady made me throw away all my non stick pans.
She's had breast cancer and is all organic, no processed foods, and gets highly researched mountain spring water in glass jugs which is used for everything. Fun! After FA and FO that my expensive carbon steel pan by Made In (seems to be essentially a thin cast iron) can't be used for anything acidic and imparts a noticeable iron taste to many things, even $12/doz organic free range eggs, I have finally done learned myself to cook an omelette in stainless. Yeah, yeah, properly seasoned yada yada. I have spent hours seasoning and reseasoning that pan. It's used for searing fish and that's about it. |
